Viktor Lazlo est une artiste plurielle et polymathe qui porte haut et fort ses racines martiniquaises et grenadiennes: Romancière estimée (prix Charles Brisset) à présent éditée chez Grasset, Chanteuse renommée  (avec plus de 4 millions d’albums vendus dans le Monde pour ses célèbres « Pleurer des Rivières » et « Canoë Rose") et Comédienne régulièrement sollicitée (pour de nombreux films au cinéma et à la télévision) elle est une des grandes stars françaises. Elle est également « Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres » depuis Octobre 2022.

« Suds », son treizième est un voyage tout en douceur et sensualité, textes profonds et ciselés, arrangements délicats et élégants de Khalil Chahine. Cet album sincère est un véritable rayon de soleil, qui réchauffe l’âme et le coeur. On y plonge comme dans la mer des Antilles, rafraichissant, charnel et voluptueux. C’est un projet qui est une subtile alchimie de métissange entre Chansons, Jazz Caribéen et Latin et Musiques du Monde.

Dans le projet « Suds » Viktor Lazlo est entourée de la fine fleur des musiciens internationaux vivant en France. Le directeur musical est Khalil Chahine, guitariste et compositeur de jazz français d'origine égyptienne. Il a notamment collaboré avec Jacques Dutronc, Michel Legrand, Henri Salvador et composé pour le Cinéma (Venus Beauté, Monsieur Batifole) et la Télévision. Les autres musiciens du projet sont : Arnaud Dolmen, batteur guadeloupéen et Victoire du Jazz 2022 ; Felipe Cabrera, contrebassiste cubain ; Inor Sotolongo, percussionniste cubain,; Stéphane Chausse, clarinettiste français, Christophe Cravero, pianiste et violoniste français.

"Suds," her thirteenth and latest album, is a poetic journey of softness and sensuality, offering profound, meticulously crafted lyrics, and refined, elegant arrangements by Khalil Chahine. In the creation of "Suds," Viktor Lazlo is accompanied by some of the finest international musicians residing in France. The musical direction is helmed by Khalil Chahine, a French jazz guitarist and composer of Egyptian origin, who has collaborated with the likes of Jacques Dutronc, Michel Legrand, and Henri Salvador, and has composed for film (Venus Beauté, Monsieur Batifole) and television. The other musicians enriching this project include Arnaud Dolmen, a Guadeloupean drummer and winner of the 2022 Victoire du Jazz award; Felipe Cabrera, a Cuban double bassist; Inor Sotolongo, a Cuban percussionist; Stéphane Chausse, a French clarinetist; and Christophe Cravero, a French pianist and violinist.
